Analysis of Glitter

She was the sweetheart of the rodeo.
And boy could she ride and move just so.
I first saw her at the State Fair in Tennessee.
Blue eyes just a shining and she waved to me.

I thought, could she be the one I am looking for?
To my heart she had opened new doors.
We went out dancing and painting the town,
Wounds in my heart healed when she was around.

Then she changed as time moved on.
I could not tell what was going on.
I was left in the cold with nothing to hold.
I learned that just because it glitters it isn't gold.
