Analysis of Nightmares

The demons come in the dark of the night.
They rummage around out of sight.
They find the fears you hide so well.
They make them grow and bloom and swell.
When the air is filled with smells of fear,
They take the soul of every care.

When you wake your soul seems fake.
Your essence begins to shutter and shake.
You call to the angels to give you strength .
But always keep them at arms length.
They hold and stroke and sooth your soul.
Until your fears are back in their hole.

The cycle continues every night, and day.
While you struggle to find your way.
Your soul in search of a place that's warm.
To protect yourself from the constant storm.
Take the anger, hate and fear and and let them go.
For no demon can survive in such a soul.
