Analysis of One Grain

The rocky climb of Loveland Pass
steps a gain after gain.
The sands of time of the hourglass
slips a grain after grain.

The disaster of broken dreams
heaps a wrack after wrack
The old master of happy themes
plays back after playback

The odd disguise of masquerade
cloaks a stealth after stealth
The enterprise of commerce trade
builds a wealth after wealth

The binnacle of the compass
shields a spin after spin.
The pinnacle of grand success
crafts a win after win.
