Analysis of Still I Search The Skies
As my eyes search so far into the horizon
so slow does the sun climb as I hear the
silence broken only by the birds...
My own silent sigh of missing you makes
seeing the beauty of dawn so unclear.
Tears of salt touch my dry lips as I fail to
answer what I keep asking myself...
Why did you have to take that final sleep
when this breaking heart needed you here.
So long have I sat here by my open window
little bird in the cherry tree cries ...
Did another little bird tell you there were no
goodbye's...
The sunset now appears so sombre, afraid to
leave me alone tonight...
Big old moon weeps in silence, she sees me
friend ...I'll be alright.
