Analysis of THE FORGOTTEN (song lyrics)
The Forgotten
On a cold and wet November night
She walks the street alone
Her tattered close she weirs this night
Are all the things she owns
But she keeps her dreams alive
And to this day she prays
That her daddy will come for her
And her dreams come true this day
And then one day on the edge of town
A body lies face down
And the hope and dreams
Of an innocent soul
Now make not a sound
The forgotten we choose to hide
From our thoughts we put aside
The forgotten souls that we don't see
Are the hopes and dreams of you and me
Lying in a crib he sleeps
A soul that is free
Are you willing to pass him by
If you saw him on the street
Then why do you pass on by
When someone needs a hand
Now isn't it time for us
To take a stand
The forgotten souls we choose to hide
From our thoughts we put aside
The forgotten souls we don't see
Are the hopes and dreams of you and me
