Analysis of Wasted Tears

Cried all night while all alone
Spent many days shedding tears
Still can't reach you on the phone
It has been this way all year

Tried to sleep but could not forget
All the happy times we've shared
And knowing that I would never get
You in my arms had me really scared

That's over now cause I am done
I have shed my last tear in pain
It is time for me to have my fun
And go on with my life again

I refuse to let you feel the pride
Of knowing that you broke me down
I'm stronger than that if I reach inside
So there is no reason for me to frown

Sorry that we never really worked out
We did not seem to have the right touch
But that's no excuse for you to shout
You never showed me your love that much
