Analysis of We are Royals
Ronald Bunch 1982 (Grand Rapids)
Crossroads, open meadows and streams,
Up, and reaching a taste of God.
Simple drops of dew mercy crowns
Misery on the downs.
Down, simple laughing daffodils
Mocking passers-by
With screaming meadows and
Tears flying by.
To love that well
Which thou hangs eternal life
Is to walk the road of Jesus Christ
Among the crossroads of earthly strife.
Oh holy and freed
On the cross He did bleed.
No more shame and guilt,
We are now a flower that won't wilt.
But in the misery of life,
We will find strife.
Hang on to that well which did bleed
For in Him we are freed.
No matter your toils,
No matter what boils,
Hold on to Jesus Christ who never spoils,
For in Him we are royals.
