Analysis of Wings Of Amorous Liberty

I fly to new heights with angel wings
A sacred place to me they bring
I hover at the very Golden Gates
To peek in Paradise at the grates

My hand briskly runs through your hair
As the spirits of love dance in the air
My cup of heart in your hands is safe and sound
In a rosy garden, caressing is bound

In lustful indulgence we dare to step
The dark forbidden sins we seek at dark depths
When everything in this most sacred place is free
None could know such Amorous Liberty

You move yourself in graceful majesty
No one else could know how good it could be
Entrancing waters soon form a flood
Breaking through the barrier, just as the roses begin to bud

Some do not know the art to make
Such innocence, so quietly, each other we take
As in this place we are forever free
Free to love with our Wings of Amorous Liberty

Joseph Shofner

I'm 17, soon to turn 18 this Summer. I'm going to college to become a Geologist this Summer & following Fall. I like writing poems, but I've somewhat stopped in the past month or so. But in the time I did write (For about 6 months - 1 year) I wrote several hundred, most of which I "fixed" by making them better. Most of my poems are about love, as love is a very important (but not prominent) thing in my life. I believe love is an expression of the best of things, and poetry is an expression of love, so with poetry I express my love (Since I can't in other ways) I'll try to publish a poem a day (Maybe more, as I have them written down, but have to re-type them all when publishing them onto here) Also I'm working on a booklet of around 30-50 of my best poems re-mastered to try & win a girl I like over. I don't know who she is, as the school year is about over, but I'm sure I'll meet someone at college who appreciates it as much as I do. Any questions/ want to talk message me at joealexshof@yahoo.com more…
