Of Herewith And Whenceforth
John Jessup Kennan 1953 (Pomona)
Sprouted up from blood of heroes
Plants in shining armor lawsuits
Go now, conjure up your godlings
Mixed and soiled in mystic root
Dragonflies' wings carry power
Pique into frequencies' crest
You wanna kill God 'cause He's evil
In the vision of self-holiness
Aluminum shoes on unicorns
Lilliputians in tinfoil nets
And all of the faeries of Aries
Don't trifle with hedging your bets
Sasquatch grins, emerges unscathed
Riding on Loch Nessie's back
Nature responds quick as lightning
Tsunamis and critter attacks
All of these battles will be in vain
Who has eyes to see, let him see
Warnings were written millenia past
All was foretold in prophecy
Out where delusions must end
The secrets of stifled Forsooth
How can I call you my friend
If I don't tell you the Truth?
There's always some carnival barker
Gonna sell us a better way
Lucifer and his shiny angels
Passing out pastries on high holy days
Glowing eyes in the godlings rise
Revenge of The Hornswaggled Sith
Dazzled by shiny enlightening
Bamboozled by Whence and Forthwith
The circus is coming to town, love
The tweekers are pitching their tents
It's the Age of Mystery Babylon
The Illuminous Befuddlement
Where clowns sell snake oil potions
Remedies sure to cure you of Truth
The Magnanimous Kerfluffle
Mystique serpentine in its roots
All of these battles will be in vain
Who has eyes to see, let him see
Warnings were written millenia past
All was foretold in prophecy
Out where delusions must end
The secrets of stifled Forsooth
How can I call you my friend
If I don't tell you the Truth?
