Sadness
Robert Gold 2006 (Wisconsin)
Sadness is an illness
One with no real cure
Whenever one is feeling it
Their friends should all draw near
And help them with their healing
Getting rid of any fear.
Sadness is like a child
One that just won’t go away
No matter how much you try
No matter what you say.
Sadness is a phase
One that sticks around
Torturing a person
Until their cure is found.
You see for each person
Sadness is different
But even though it sometimes doesn’t
Seem to be real near
You should know
You cannot always see it rather clear
So watch your back old friend of mine
I wish you the very best
But be careful
For sadness can infect everyone
Even people you never would have guessed...
