Our Refuge
Go is our refuge and strength,
Very present help in trouble;
Preserving at any length,
Pulling us out from the rubble.
We fear not though the earth gives way,
And mountains move into the sea;
I proceed to trust and obey,
God is my eyes to help me see.
Although the waters roar and foam.
And the mountains start to shiver;
My shelter resides in His home,
Since faith makes me a believer.
A river whose streams makes me glad,
At the holy dwelling of God;
Because I could never be sad,
The Most High to whom that I laud.
The Lord is in the midst of her,
In whom she shall never be moved;
No matter of what might occur,
As morning dawns it is behooved.
Nations rage as kingdoms totter,
His voice utters as the earth melts;
Causing the land to get hotter,
While people are growing welts.
The Lord of Host our fortress,
Our shelter and a refuge;
To calm us down when distress,
And troubles become a deluge.
So behold the works of the Lord,
With desolations on the earth;
Because man has caused a discord,
His will to create a new birth.
He will make earthly wars to cease,
Breaks the bows and shatter the spear;
Chariot burnings to increase,
Bringing to the heart of men fear.
Be still and know that He is God,
Exalted amongst all nations;
The Lord of Hosts to whom you laud,
In a perfect exaltation.
