A Samaritan by choice
I always remember those happier moments
When I use to smile with my grandmother Ruth
She was a sympathy-bearer, loving and caring
Greatly desiring to hear her voice again
Remember when she admitted
“I will leave you one day,
And head towards heavenly way”
What kind of joke causes no laugh?
She discovered the way I could walk on
I graced her heels like a chick
I ran away from birds of prey
Rested under her wings and hide
Those who had kids loved her
For the love of their infants’ medicines
She was loving and caring
Very kind to every mankind.
Where is that kindness and caring today?
Whose beautiful heels we should grace again?
O my granny, love and kindness in your heart has exploded
Goodwill in your heart has abode
When an angel passed my way
I lifted my tearful eyes upon the mountains
But I didn’t see her coming back again
And 27th August became fearful ever since.
