The Quill

Robert Tucker 1948 (Wareham, Newfoundland)

The Quill

Quill!
What adventures do you have in store?
Will you tell a tale of battles galore?
Or scribe to be a sweet, sweet sonnet
About a young girl in a bright laced bonnet?
Maybe politic you intend to spread
For those that go without their daily bread?
Ah Hah! A ballad of bravery
Your detail is wild and savory.
Then tell me Quill
Will you ink an essay to banish all ill?
To see that no stomach would go unfilled?
Oh! The things that you could say
That I just dream about every day.
