Wisdom Instruction
The steps of man decreed by the Lord,
Because He delights in His way;
Especially in one accord,
And never is going astray.
He shall not be casting headlong,
Because the Lord upholds His hand;
Since His will has been very strong,
Reflecting unto His command.
I have been young and now am old,
Yet seen not righteous forsaken;
Nor children begging as was told,
For bread from their mouths was taken.
He is lending generously,
As His children are a blessing;
And are flowing vigorously,
Unto those who are confessing.
Avert from evil and do good,
So that you shall dwell forever;
Doing as to the way you should,
That your merit will not sever.
For the Lord loves righteous justice,
And He will not forsake His saints;
He gives comfort for a solace,
Preserved without any restraint.
The righteous inherits the land,
Wicked children He will sever;
Because they do not understand,
And will be condemned forever.
