Straddle The Virus
STRADDLE THE VIRUS
Like accomplished geniuses, trained to the highest degree
They perfected the art of instilling fear for the world to see.
The melody resounded, though abysmal – lacking rhythm or grace,
Reminiscent of requiem music captured solemnly in space.
The world is aware what this man-made plague would cause,
It dictated when streets can be populated – activities paused.
Virtual debates become the norm -- voting by mail mandatory.
Schools closed, commerce disrupted – distancing, obligatory.
Radicals maliciously straddle the virus to control a nation,
Bringing chaos, helplessness and utter destruction.
Choreographed crises designed to propagate fear all around
Ushered in all unsavory political maneuverings to be found.
With media on attack mode, America is gagged and blindfolded.
Lies permeated the airwaves, media print narratives unfounded.
The impostor regime biding entitlement to a horrific crime.
In scripted slow motion…one hysterical moment at a time.
