I’m Etherized as a Code Hero

Etherized on the operation table,
Consciousness is unavailable.
I’m like a roast suckling pig.
With knife and rod, chefs roll and dig.
No kinsfolk outside operating room,
I’m enveloped by COVID-19 gloom.
Rejected oxygen-uptaking.
Rejected monitoring.
Refused attending.
I’m ready for everything.

Stone! Stone! Stone!
Kidney stone!
