Happiness from Wisdom
By wisdom, the Lord made the earth,
Understanding set up Heaven;
All creatures the power of birth,
For all of the beauty given.
By His knowledge depths are broken,
While the clouds drop down the dew;
By His commands that were spoken,
That nature able to construe.
Do not ever lose sight of these,
Keep sound wisdom and discretion;
Never to depart in the breeze,
Give your devoted attention.
For they will have life for your soul,
And of adornment for your neck;
His grace allows you to control,
To remain on the narrow trek.
Then you will walk your way safely,
As your foot will never stumble;
Confidence that will be stately,
There will be no need to grumble.
And you shall never be afraid,
When are lying down as to sleep;
A comfortable sleep conveyed,
Having sweet dreams that you will keep.
Be not afraid of sudden fear,
Neither forlornness of evil;
Desolation tries to adhere,
As being works of the devil.
The Lord will be your confidence,
Shall keep your foot from being caught;
When keeping with obedience,
Trusting in the Lord what is sought.
Withhold not good to whom is due,
When in your power to do it;
Use wisdom from God to pursue,
To determine of your merit.
