Shaking wings.

As the mosses wrapped their shrouds
upon a widowed wood.
I looked at him for hours whether or not I should.
He wandered through disheartened, his body growing frail.
Exposure escalating, his heart beat as he wailed.
I would but to collect him and take him to creator as he fought on inspite of thicket and threats greater.
The violets underfoot scattered around his body as he finally thought he was beginning to see me.
"Why do you follow me?" he whispered his last breath.
"I do but take you home for it is time to rest."
