As The Old dog sits
As The Old Dogs Sits on the cold hard ground.
He contemplates as to way his bones hurt.
Will they ever be a relief? He asks himself.
So he moves his head from right to left and back again.
Trying so hard to understand what he is doing here
Sitting on this cold hard ground.
He hear sounds but can't fathom where they come from.
The sounds are sounds made when people speak
It is becoming confusing for him.
The noises and the voices sound foreign to him.
A language he has not heard before.
It's as if the wind is whispering to him.
Or is the wind taking the sounds away from him.
The old dog continues to sit and stares at the place the noise is coming from.
These old bones hurt and the cold hard ground dose not help him.
He can't wait to be in the comfort of a warm cozy bed.
He smells a well known smell of lavender.
He understands now for the sound is his masters voice.
Who has come for him, to take him to a warm and loving place.
For he is old and tired and his bones are hurting
He knows he will be in a better place
Where he will be safe and warm. For these old bones can rest awhile.
Now he can lay his head down on the warm and comfy pillow.
Finally go to sleep with the soothing sound
He is so familiar with his masters voice.
This old dog now sits on a cloud of softness and feeling young.
