To: The Believers
Raheem Muhammad 1964 (Alabama)
Who are you? I am a Muslim. I am not a prefixed word before that. I am simply a Muslim, One who follows the Sunnah (teachings, ways, actions) of prophet Muhammad (SAW), and the righteous predecessors (ra). Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said to his followers: “Three generations after me and you will be of me no more.” He (SAW) didn’t lie; that has indeed happened. Now you have Sunni, Shiite, and more. That is the problem; we now have seventy-three sects of Muslims. There lies the division. Allah (SWT) says to the Prophet(SAW): “On this day have I perfected my favor upon you, completed your religion and give it the name Islam,” and we were called Muslims. Why do we divide ourselves with all of these titles we place in front of the word Muslim? All of the prophets were Muslim, and we are Muslims even though we follow the ways and the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW). We can settle our differences later, but for now, we must all consider ourselves to simply be Muslims first.
About this poem
“If you’re scared then you need to leave now, This is no place for cowards. Some people were told to shut up and they did because they scared. Some people sold out and got paid, power, and or position.”
