The Light Inside My Darkness

Through my darkest days and loneliest nights,
I layed awake, wondered aimlessly in my mind.
As my feet move undirected as where to go,
My heart grew colder than any winter.
As I prayed on every hour of my final day awake,
A message was received by my heart...but..,
My mind was too far gone to apprehend it.
Inside my heart a light began grow.
Moving monsters back to their cages.
As the Castle I built to keep outsiders away,
Began to crumble a new one was being designed.
Now my darkest days are just nights to remember,
And loneliest nights are now days I can cherish.

About this poem

It's about my struggle with life and wanting to give up, but looking up one more time changed my direction.
