The borrowed soul
Heather Lydia Thornhill 1981 (Manchester)
You said goodbye to the heavens
To hold me in your arms
But all you could but smile
As they whisked you away from harm
And I never saw your face
But as I looked away
They said that you were perfect
And put you in your place
I heard you lived fine
But that you wanted more
And one day I heard you knocking
On my front porch door
I was old and your embrace
Comforted my heart until space
And time took you back to heaven
Because of my sweet wine
