Life Is Life

Life Is Life
Author: Mark V. Markov

Life is life
It doesn't matter
If it is a fetus
With a beating heart
Breathing through
An umbilical cord
A baby, or a grown person.
God gave life to all three

Life is life
I hope and pray
That people would see

We as the people
Have no right
And cannot have a law
To take away
Someones life away
The law of the land
Tells us
Because of it we can see

We can't discriminate
We can't have a law
To allow people to break the law

We can't break the law
And take a baby's life away
Out of preference

For if a pregnant mother dies
As a result of a car accident
The person at fault
Is charged with two murders
For the baby and the mother

That same law applies
If the mother
Wants to take away
Her baby's life
Through abortion

Life is life
It doesn't matter
If it is a fetus
With a beating heart
Breathing through
An umbilical cord.
A baby, or a grown person.
God gave life to all three

Life is life
I hope and pray
That people would see

We as the people
Have no right
We cannot have a law
To take away
A helpless baby's life
The law of the land
Tells us

We can't discriminate
We can't have a law
To allow people to break the law

We can't break the law
And take a baby's life away
Out of preference

Once conception occurs
The only option should be
If the baby is unwanted
Or because of circumstances
And the mother
Could not keep her child
To give the baby away
For adoption
So that someone
Who never had a child
Could have a baby right from birth

So that the baby
Would bond
With its new mother and father
Same as if
With it's biological mother
To have that strong connection.

For those that still feel
That is their right
To take away
Their baby's life
Because the woman is the mother
And it is her body.
How would that grown woman feel
If someones says to her
That they want to take her life away?
She would say
That it is wrong
Well it is the same way
With a helpless baby inside her womb.
A fetus has life.
It would be also wrong
To take that baby's life away
For it has a beating heart
And is breathing with a life
With a life that is given to it by God...

Psalm 139:13-18 (ESV)

13 For you formed my inward parts;
you knitted me together in my mother's womb.
14 I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.[a]
Wonderful are your works;
my soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from you,
when I was being made in secret,
intricately woven in the depths of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my unformed substance;
in your book were written, every one of them,
the days that were formed for me,
when as yet there was none of them.

17 How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I would count them, they are more than the sand.
I awake, and I am still with you.
