Protector
You live life reckless
Naïve and careless.
Tough break
Will be my fate
All my love turns to hate.
Given away, for you two to share
Unprotected naked and bare
Without care
How do you dare?
Returned broken is what I fear.
You think all is fine?
Love is blind
You can’t see
How can you be
So carefree…
I AM your life source
We stray off course
Rejected
All this pain we subjected
Our mirrored dreams
Shattered to pieces;
Our worst nightmare
To my protector
You feel the pound in your chest
I never take rest
Even in your defeat
I’m always there
Never missing a beat
Repeat, repeat
So depressed I almost flat lined
How could you be so blind?
You are my protector
I never let you down before
I am your core
Now I’m broke and sore.
Your self-doubt
Angry and pout
Going insane
Pour and rain
Wash away this pain
Down the drain
Some saneness we regain.
You put me back together piece by piece
The pain has ceased
Kept in your cage
I felt your rage
From all the love we’ve waged
It’s time, turn the page
To my protector
You feel the pound in your chest
I never take rest
Even in your defeat
I’m always there
Never missing a beat
Repeat, repeat
She walked into our life
Could it be, Our wife?
She takes care of you,
In return takes care of me
Our love together set free,
My beat is STRONG
She can do no wrong
The hurt and pain is dying
It’s like we’re flying
So easy, no more trying
Full of courage I am a lion
Dreams, finally made whole
She has me and your soul
A new protector is her role!
My two protectors
You feel my pound in both of your chests
I never take rest
Even in defeat
I’m always there
Never missing a beat
Repeat, repeat
