Father, son meets son
Sitting here feelingalways trying to fill that void. Constantly begging for it to get better. But it never does, forever and ever. My skins worn so thin, everything just comes rushing in. What can I do but think of you. Heartbroken always because you are not around to fill the room with your beautiful sounds, what I wouldn’t give to hold you in my arms again. Those beautiful blue eyes looking up at me for the first time, loving someone else other than me. The things I regret the most haunt me like a whispering ghost. Always there in my head, I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders breaking over me like waves in the ocean crashing down. If I could only tell you now how much it hurts how much time has slipped through my hands lost forever to the deep void of the past catching up with me. I have to numb myself to the pain I feel inside. Just take another pill here you go this will fix you up, let me know. Numb your brain, you are good to go. I’ve been knocked down and kicked around. I’m the elephant in the room that doesn’t know he is really a clown. First to suspect and last to know that’s just the way life seems to go. Jokes on me, I laugh it off but inside I feel like jumping off. Here we are together and alone, terrified to look at my heart of stone. Scared to look because I might see that I grew up to be just like you. Scared and afraid to be myself and feel that pain. Tell me now who do you see, am I just like you, or you just like me. I keep so much locked up inside to protect that little boy you used to know, where he went I do not know. I can’t even love myself, how am I supposed to help build this house. I’m just that same scared lonely boy sitting there playing with my toys. I wish I could meet him there and just make sure he knows it will be ok, I’d tell him sometimes we all have rainy days. Tears in my eyes telling this boy it will be alright my dear boy. So I ask you again for what it will be? Am I like you or are you like me?
