The Climber

Robert William Harish 2005 (Tamilnadu)

I saw a pothos plant climbing on the wall,
Neither it was slender, nor thick or tall.
I glimpsed it trying to touch the height,
But, it was not caught in any others’ sight.

It had a fixed hope, not to skid or fall,
It was just a climber after all – I kept on
Watching it for a long period and,
The good day came to an incomplete end.

Soon, watching the pothos made me bored,
Because my stomach started to make a lion roar.
To eat some food, I rose from my place – On
That time, it reached the top, showing its grace.

The plant worked hard to reach the space,
Its success was spotted sensationally by my eyes.

Robert William Harish

I am a small poet, who is not well known. But, I have been writing many poems to expose my talents to the outside world. I have won many awards for poetry in my school. I would like to improve my sphere of talent more. Sans the help of any good poets or authorities, I could not win in this competitive world. Thank you. more…
