Like Autumn

James Havok 1989 (Virginia Beach)

You love sunshine and blue skies.
Warm days with salt flickering on your cheek slowly telling you its love.
And when it starts to fade from you like a memory or two it feels like autumn.
Things change and beauty falls apart .
Things you adored are now a brief memory and a glimpse around reminds you of the start.
And slowly your sunshine wanes closer and closer into the night.
But what you fail to see is the beauty that autumn brings.
With each fell leaf a new scene is painted and displayed.
With each cool breeze a new comfort is needed to keep you warm.
If you ask me, you desire to be summer but you are more like autumn.
Each barren tree a reminder of what you had.
But you still fail to see the beauty that you are perfectly okay how you are.
Because autumn is just a phase and soon after a winter you'll be more like may.
And if I may say that growth will turn you to June so soon. And then you'll feel a soft gentle breeze enter the room.
After you realize what each phase means you'll come to love each one for each moment that it brings.
Because each one is needed to bring you new growth and like autumn you'll see what it shows.
