THE HIPPIE AND THE MUSLIM
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
What happens when a hippie and a Muslim meet?
Two worlds collide and a love affair starts two star-crossed lovers with hidden truths inside their heart
I recall the first day we spoke I was at work
You said excuse me Sir are you broke?
You were wearing your 5th avenue clothes while I was wearing my Grateful Dead Tye Dye for once I was not shy and I asked for your number
That night I called you we talked for what seemed like an eternity just like we have met before
I only knew a little about your culture and you had no clue who Jerry was.
I thought my ink and piercings would scare you away
but here we are today
The hippie and The Muslim decided to fight a battle but its war for their love that others need not understand but us for there is just too much hate in this world to deny are tired hearts and souls this type of love
