All-Consumed
The joyful lives of others
Drains all mirth from my soul.
The bright smile is smothered,
And warmth made deathly cold.
I focus on their beauty,
Blinded by what I see.
Resentment turns my hue green;
I am overcome with envy.
I long for their strife as well,
Their whines are softer than mine.
While my goddamed life is hell,
Lives of bliss, they often can find.
Only drugs can numb the pain.
But they've all been consumed.
At imes like this, I grab the blade;
It gives my arm some use.
Only drugs can help numb the pain.
But they've all been consumed.
At times like this, I grab the blade;
It gives my arm some use.
The figure in the mirror revolts me.
Goddamn this hideous visage of mine.
I am still not beautiful and won't be.
To inferiority, I'm confined.
Self-acceptance for me can not be done.
What in my life or self is good enough?
I need to be the woman I dream of;
I am only worth what I should become.
Myself at present possesses nothing
That I find valuable in people.
I have only the sharpest suffering
And submission before those unequal.
Only drugs can numb the pain.
But they've all been consumed.
Times like this, I grab the blade;
It gives my arm some use.
Only drugs can help numb the pain.
But they've all been consumed.
At times like this, I grab the blade;
It gives my arm some use.
The serpent within me
Constricts so slowy.
When will the thing simply
Just let me go, free?
