Who is Living in You?

Richard Groff 1957 (Pottstown, Pa.)

Get down on your knees while you still can
In the last days you were made to stand

Stand up on the cross with your arms open wide
To welcome the world with your God by your side
A new command I give you. He said:
I considered these words as I rose from my bed

Love one another as I have loved you
Their meaning rang out and I knew it was true
You must love one another. By this all will know
You are My disciples! Where I lead; you will go!

And now all the witnesses we have just gathered
Can see that the life of the flesh doesn’t matter
It’s what’s in your heart and your soul and your mind
If His Spirit lives in you; you can always be kind

You can be kind and loving, even generous too
So now testify! Whose Spirit lives in you?
