Platonic Friendship (For a Girl)

Shall I compare you to a sun shining?
Every time you show me the right guidance,
When I see you my mind is combining,
And your eyes are killing me with kindness,

Remembering the days of fun & joy,
Days of us playing soccer together,
When we are together our heart enjoys,
And, us in a pool in the hot weather,

Always you have helped me in hard times,
We had some cold days but mostly were warm,
Will never forget that simile in lifetime,
Will go out somewhere, a fun place, confirm,

So, our friendship always makes me happy,
Long live our friendship like a sweet puppy.

About this poem

This is a sonnet about a girl who you love or even have a platonic friendship with. I think that Shakespeare's sonnets from Romeo and Juliet inspired me to write my own sonnet about someone I have a Platonic friendship with. So it's a sonnet about love.
