NAIL BITING
I can not stop biting my nails
no one not even myself is aware of the way that I feel, I am sick to my stomach unable to wrap my head around the thoughts that leave and enter my head without a single word being said only sound.
These creatures are crawling all over me
they cover up my eyes enabling me to see what they are exactly it is that they are doing as they franticly set themselves free. my chest is cracked open and they steal my heart, my brain is full they try to empty it only to put in theirs.
I can not concentrate on the day's current events
when I recognize my own.
I am slowly turning into the serpent that I see inside of my nightmares trying to eat away all the world's worries and fears.
Kill me before I kill myself
this transformation I do not know if I can handle
so I light the flame and burn the candle
I do not know if I will ever be returning to my birth home. if I do please keep that candle burning so I can find my way.
In my sleep, I am alive but dead
I do not need anyone except myself
I earned myself my wings now I am going to fly away
In my own place alone, I am going to play
these creatures will not be following me to my end
it is true you are your own best friend
there is no need to go begging for someone else's bone. until then stop biting your nails
