Mother

Dylan Mudonh 2001 (South Africa)

There's beauty in her deeds
 And pain under that maskscara
Attending to everyone's needs
She wears  a heavy throne
Yet she still wear it with all its thorns
She barricades her cubs
A lioness with a lions roar
She stands even when her feet are sore
Providing to the messes
Crucified at birth
In silent she goes through phases
She doesn't let the scars name her
The scars shapes her
It reminds her of the defeated tides
