The moon

Elisha Wilson 2008 (North Carolina)

It Gleams and glows
And changes in wide ranges

Always beautiful and never imperfect
The gentlest smile stretches
Wide and far across its face

Welcoming you and all who come
Into its glistening light of peace

Giving a place to speak and wonder
With only ears to listen
And none to judge
