The promise

Jamie Holmes 1983 (Dalton)

The morning I walked in and seen you were set free,
I went down to my knees and could not believe,
That God really set you free,
I hurt, I miss, I cry,
But most of all I'm glad your in peace,
No more hugs, calls, or talks,
But I promise one day we will start where we left off.
I'll never forget you,
but I always miss you,
so till the day we meet again
you go walk with Jesus,
 and I promise
 we'll meet up again.
