Thoughts and Prayers

We are sending our thoughts and prayers
So sayeth the Sayers
we join you in your grief
and share your disbelief
at another child gone mad
following the latest fad
of the school shooting
of life's looting
and booting of innocent souls
raked over the coals
to be used in
political polls
enough is enough
or so they say
but they rinse and repeat
this insane gameplay
for they know it will happen again
on another horrific day
we have to come together as a community
is what they cry
but they know deep down
its simply a lie
for they know soon
they will watch others die
its the same old script
at every event
shock, awe and then tears are spent
how can we stop this madness that has grown
it is simply the seeds that we allow to be sown
Its the bodies we plant
its the attitude "we can't"
the tired rhetoric
and pathetic rant
of we must stop this
and what did we miss
when allow them to self program
in digital bliss
your whole program
isn't worth a piss
I offer my ass for a big old kiss
you know how to stop it
you simply don't care
your keenly alert
and highly aware
Your just weak as leaders
to be fair
every tragedy is the same
with the robots spewing
the same old game
were sorry this happened
to you and yours
but you simply have to take it
squealing on all fours
there's nothing we can do
to change the fact
that we could have prevented
this horrific attack
though we show you empathy
its sincerity we lack
but don't worry
we got your back
have you had enough of the game
you sad sack?
