Sinking
They first time I saw you I knew you were meant for me.
We had an instant connection even if you were in a dark place.
I pulled and pulled so you could see the sun again.
Arm over arm you emerge and I'm sinking.
You move forward leaving me behind.
I'm struggling to get free of this pit that is claiming me.
When I look up you are still in the light,
Running right to what had cast you to the dark.
You make every excuses to justify what you have done.
I still sit here sinking wanting to give up.
So much guess the old me is dying and no one knows why.
I tell you how is feel and get cast away.
So good bye, I guess we won't talk another day
