Separation from God
Do not be unequally yoked,
Together with unbelievers;
You might find to become provoked,
By others who are deceivers.
What partnership has righteousness,
Or what fellowship has the light;
For those of having lawlessness,
When darkness can never shine bright.
What accord has Christ with Satan,
What part does a believer share;
Can crooked lines ever straighten,
For infidels who do not care.
What does God agree with idols,
Temples are for the living God;
They steer followers with bridles,
Not knowing that they are a fraud.
Therefore, go out from amongst them,
And do not touch an unclean thing;
For the wrath of God will condemn,
And welcome those who praise and sing.
God will be a Father to you,
To be His sons and daughters;
As you remain sacred and true,
Led to the baptismal waters.
