A Righteous Delivery
Richard Newton Sherrer 1951 (Easton)
I will bless the Lord at all times,
In my mouth continue His praise;
In hearing the heavenly chimes,
And thinking of the Lord always.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord,
Let the humble hear and be glad;
While walking in one accord,
Within Him, I will not be sad.
Oh magnify the Lord with me,
Let us exalt Him together;
He will open your eyes to see,
In His church where we can gather.
When I sought the Lord, He heard me,
Delivered me from all my fears;
Showing merely how life can be,
When His Holy Word one adheres.
Look to Him and be radiant,
Your face shall not be ashamed;
Follow to be obedient,
Letting your spirit be inflamed.
A poor man cried, and the Lord heard,
And saved him from all his trouble;
Gave him guidance unto His Word,
For pulling out of the rubble.
The angel of the Lord encamps,
Around those who will revere Him;
Supplying the oil for their lamps,
Guide from darkness that is so dim.
