Sing for me please

Sing for me please,
I've got a penchant for your voice
Your melodies enthrall my soul in manners ineffable
Your lyrics bewitch my mind, leaving me at your utmost disposal

Sing for me please,
The way you harmonise has me atingle
This is kismet, you and I
The utopic singer and her devoted listener

Sing for me please,
Your voice is an ocean I'm willing to drown in
Your words lure me into the soothing embrace of itself
Your lips are a gateway for the world speaking inside of you

Sing for me please,
Your melody dances around the garden
Bouncing off the eager peonies
Wisping through the tree's green leaves
Brushing atop the pond
Engulfing my heart, it's final resting place.

About this poem

A free verse poem inspired by my feelings when listening to and internalising certain songs. As if it were just the singer and I in an ethereal utopia, and the singer's purpose were to sing for just me alone.
