Stillness
Stillness
In the place of stillness I am calm
A state of silence
Sets me free
When I let it all go
Burdens fall
Autumn leaves
In the breeze
A lotus flower blossoms
Derelict dreams,
Attachments
And broken thoughts
Give way to tranquility.
I embrace the stillness openly
Without hesitance
Or skepticism
No reservation necessary
In the quiet
Darkness is a friend
Where light unveils
Shadow and accepts it
Fear and dread
Serve no purpose
Life breathes freely
And my spirit floats.
Still as a space in the universe
I am calm and awake
Here where I sit
Love blooms
I feel deeply
And dissatisfaction
Dissolves
Suffering subsides
I know to accept
And adapt is to live
And I become
Peace passing understanding.
