Long Face

I am far meaner than I used to be.
Name the cost and I will pay it,
For my worst sin to once again be
False sleeping in the backseat so that
My father would carry me to bed.
Let the only pain I cause him be
Sore arms in the morning.
Return me to a time of smaller betrayals,
And let me carry him to bed this time,
To make up for the ways I will hurt him later.
