My Mom and Dad

Rudy Maestas 1964 (Colorado)

You loved me unconditionally
Despite all my Mistakes
You were there beside me
Never doubting I had what it takes

When I wasn't sure where to go
Unsure where to turn
You were there with loving hearts
Always helping me to learn

When it was time for me to go
And I set out on my own
I was scared but, confident
Because of what I had been shown

When my world crumbled around me
And my heart full of sorrow
You were there with me
Helping me through tomorrow

Thank you for choosing me
And making me the one
Thank you for loving me
And allowing me to be your son

So if my tomorrow never comes
I want you both to know
I love you both dearly
With all my heart and soul
