I Don’t Deserve Your Love
Each day…
I wish
I could Be….somebody else
This.
loneli-
ness…. Has entrapped me
And the dawn broke
It broke
the morning sky
I awoke
To the knock….
Could this be the One
They call the Holy Rock
Knock, knockin’ on the door
Of this barren heart
But I found it to be not
Jesus
I opened the front door
it invited itself in,
“Hello, Sommer,
I’m your new friend”
I asked it to leave
I even said pretty please
Now it takes
residents here
Maybe I should write
A note of eviction
But I’m reminded
Of
My Past convictions
I’m not deserving of love
I’ve lost my best friend
The one I counted on
The one i loved
to dote upon
She had her reasons
to
Turn, Walk away….
now…shes gone
These tears are like a River
Flowing down my face
It makes me wonder
“how could God
even count them?”
You expect i’ll be alright
You say,”oh she’ll be fine.”
Really I am shattered to a point that words can’t define
I don’t feel much
like trying to get up
Ever since
loneliness came in
No matter where I go
Even at the grocery store
I’m reminded of a sweet scent
A sweet scent
Of the one who left
But Loneliness is there
In a room of 100 people
I don’t feel that same connection
I know you don’t get it
but I miss my best friend
“Now, Sommer, cheer up,
Dry your eye
For I
Loneliness,
Will be your best friend.”
Is this the Grand Finale
And
My
Deserving end
