WHAT AM I TRYING TO SAY

mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)

Once, it was only time standing still inside my dreams without a care in the world. Now I am standing in this brave new reality they are afraid of. I am here wearing the handed-down boss's gloves that never showed any love, but do they not know that I play with the hands of their working clock?

What am I talking about? Is this a protest or god damn tea party? I am only asking because I do not see anyone raising their fist; I do not hear a single shout but my own. We all speak a good game while choosing which side to be on.

What am I trying to say when I speak of their injustice-ways? I have bills to be paid and mouths to be fed. The man is telling me hey son, you can not afford to pay off your deed, so I am coming to take your land. I told you to shut your mouth, but you couldn't. I hope you have a plan.

What am I trying to say when I stick up my finger and scream at the top of my lung? No longer do I really give a f*ck. i am shinning up my words of wisdom as I speak of the true reality that cuts them like ancient war sword
