Silver Rest

Silver Rest

Cold silver gleam
Soulless sheen

I think you will soften with my blood
Like me, your outward form is heavily misunderstood

Tonight we shall be friends
You and I will make amends

For what great cruelty I must have done
In some forgotten life long past run

Someone must hear me say “I’m sorry”, but who?
Tonight my silver friend, it will be you

The cries of sinners have worn the mountains flat
Have cried the desert into shade, and more for all of that

Blasphemy is but another form of prayer
The God I know seems not to hear, nor does he seem to care

Not to him I give my blood, he’s had that done before
By better man for better cause, he needs not one drop more

Come my silver friend, ‘tis you shall have the love
That no one else has found
I’ll loose it all at last
At least, this current life around

Silent belle, we will make an intimate embrace
There is an emptiness inside my heart,
And you shall take its place

Here, my beauty, tickle my breast
I give you unused love
You will fill my heart with your caress.
We will change the endless night, and endlessly

Then rest
