Lifting Sorrow

Joseph m Novo 1951 (Watsonville Ca)

As I sit on my porch
I look out to a sad scene
The sky is crying crystal tears
Just like me
For slowly fading
Into the horizon
Of my very soul
I see far, far away
There is hope anew
For coming through the distant haze
It's life itself
For cometh to me
Are my family and friends
My heart is full of dance
The greater the gift
A person can have
Are the love and laughter
Of kind souls
Whose shining beacon
It warms my deepest thoughts
So when you are troubled
Open your minds heart
For those that care for you
For they will lift the sorrow from your heart and soul
