BIPOLAR BEAR
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
I am not sleeping. My mind is racing like a locomotive, and these goddamn voices keep getting louder, taking away the moments that I feel proud, and I refuse to look down at that bottle that they say holds the key to happiness while making me feel like a zombie foaming at the mouth.
Hey, mister bipolar bear, why do you have to feel like my favorite amusement ride and like a thief hiding inside the shadows and raise your ugly head at the worse moments
Hey, mister bipolar, I am stronger than I once was, and like the hands of time, I know these moods will not last and, like everything else, pass.
I wake up early to sit by myself and, like a rushing waterfall, let my tears of sadness, loneliness, and happiness fall. I refuse to have these dark days like a loss call my name. I have worked too hard to become the lion tamer I promised myself years ago, never again to give in, even if that means being my best friend and having much love for myself.
