Hey little girl,
Block the sounds of blows and screams,
Focus on the light at the end of the tunnel, run.


Hey little girl,
I'm impressed, holding your breath for years,
Stop running, you reached the end of the tunnel, break.


Hey little girl,
Don't hold, rather live in the breath,
You're free, whatever that means, embrace.


Hey little girl,
Embrace your most authentic self,
'Thou Mayest' no nest ensnares you now, live.

About this poem

It's a poem about the journey of healing the inner child to the point where she's free to just live, not survive.
