THUNDERSTORM TO KEEP ME WARM
mad hippie poet 1974 (new jersey)
What is that lingers on my tongue and fills the summer air? I spent all my slumber inside the heatwave that occupied the night, fighting to rearrange the more than unusual thoughts taking up space in my mind.
I was clapping my hands to the funky beat of the thunder, saying am I this fucking high? I do not remember. But this lightning is a show that will light my way if it doesn't strike me down first, and the smooth taste of rain quenches my thirst.
The more I stayed outside, the more I came into myself, not wanting to be anyone or anything else. I am kissing the lips of the images of a new reality that I created as I did on my first date. When I was a teenager, without any fear of the danger
